Hotel de France Nice

Hotel de France Nice Boutique Hotel Renovation Case The building’s exterior showcases timeless European architectural charm, with its classic three-section proportions and intricate relief textures meticulously preserved. The warm beige facade retains the patina of history, while the windows—crafted with high-performance antique-style profiles—blend seamlessly with the original design. This thoughtful upgrade not only maintains the old-town elegance but also enhances thermal and sound insulation, achieving a harmonious balance between historical texture and modern functionality.

The interior lounge exudes refined comfort, anchored by a plush sofa in a soft orange hue, upholstered in high-grade aniline leather that boasts a delicate touch and rich luster. Beside it, custom cabinetry made of North American black walnut adds a warm, luxurious tone, with its natural wood grain carefully aligned to highlight material sophistication. A large opening frames the vibrant street scene outside, allowing natural light to flood the space and merging indoor coziness with the dynamic energy of the surrounding neighborhood.

The dining space is defined by an immersive backdrop of a nature-themed mural, which draws inspiration from the Riviera’s lush landscapes and injects local cultural charm. Stylish wooden shelving lines one wall, displaying curated decor pieces that echo Nice’s artistic heritage. The seating—coordinated in neutral tones with subtle texture—complements the sleek table surfaces, while a layered lighting system (combining recessed downlights and accent lamps) casts a soft, inviting glow. Every element comes together to craft a sophisticated setting that fuses contemporary design with regional character.
